Meditation works by sending the mind into a state of deep relaxation with space, emptiness of thought and a tranquil abiding occurring during the meditation session, This deep calmness within the mind then sends signals to the body to go into a state of deep rest. When the practitioner then comes out of meditation the mind is re-energised and rested, ready to continue to the day with renewed drive and renewed clarity and creativity.
